Our second day started at the W head office in Gregory Hills. We were greeted by our Colors consultant. We were already prepared with the the external colors. The brick was the main selection under external colours and everything else revolved around the brick.<\/p>\n

As stated in the previous posts\u00a0 we had selected a PGH Vino brick.\u00a0 We had consulted with one of the PGH consultants on one of our visits to the PGH center and narrowed down on the roof ,fascia ,gutter and other related external colours. The external handles to all the doors , the stain to the doors , flyscreens were some of the things pending . These were taken up by the colour consultant. It is recommended that one is already prepared with the external colours as there are too many things that need to be covered in a colour selection within a short time.<\/p>\n

I was in two minds about the Garage door colour. We had too many choices. One we revolved around were Maple and Merbau. We decided to comeback after giving it a thought as we still had time until we locked the selections. And finally we decided to go with a contrast look with the Vino bricks and zeroed in on\u00a0 Maple.\u00a0 The two external\u00a0 facing doors were to be stained with shades matching the garage door.We\u00a0 opted for\u00a0 flyscreens for every openable window and privacy locks for some of the doors and had them included in the quote.<\/p>\n

The post lunch session started off with the electrical plan. We had done a bit of homework with it. By default we had 15 downlights provided by the builder. We picked the other necessary areas for downlights on the ground floor. For the major portion of the upper floor viz the bedrooms we decided to go with Oyster lights. In some sections of the upper floor we chose to have provisions done for down-lights.\u00a0 We also got fan provisions in some of the rooms.\u00a0 As we saw the prices were moving beyond our fixed sum allocations , we decided to just have baton points in most of the external lighting. It proved\u00a0 economical to get these done externally. I would recommend also having a look at the placement of your switches in each of the rooms before getting into your electrical appointment.<\/p>\n
